Do you have the key to unlock 200 years of common scientific history of the United States and Greece? Can you solve the riddle of great scientific discoveries in history? Do you know the scientists who have determined the course of the last 200 years and who will help you escape from the room?
On Wednesday, November 24, the official opening of the action “USA-Greece: 200 Years of Innovation” took place, an interactive Escape-Room that explores 200 years of common scientific history of Greece and the USA at the Seraphio of the Municipality of Athens.
The event, coordinated by the General Director and Founder of SciCo (Science Communication), Thodoris Anagnostopoulos, was greeted by the US Ambassador to Athens, Mr. Geoffrey R. Pyatt, the President of the “Greece 2021” Committee, Mrs. Gianna Angelopoulou , and the mayor of Athens Mr. Costas Bakogiannis.
In the Escape Room, guests are invited to browse through 4 different rooms, each of which represents a specific period of modern history. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about some of the most important historical and scientific discoveries, through puzzles and riddles. All four halls highlight the remarkable innovations that have emerged from Greek-American cooperation over the last 200 years, focusing on some of the most emblematic personalities from various fields of science and technology.
The US Embassy in Athens funded this effort, as part of the “US-Greece: Celebrating 200 Years of Friendship” campaign, to support the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution. The action “USA-Greece: 200 Years of Innovation” is carried out under the auspices of the actions of the Commission “Greece 2021“.
